Energy balls are chewy, delicious balls of pure natural goodness and certainly not a snack to feel guilty about. They are full of needed vitamins and nutrients, and of course help to energise you.
I don’t actually know where they originate from, but I do know that ‘Deliciously Ella’ has been a great inspiration. She has many different recipes/ flavours in her books and online available to all. And they are fast becoming something we all want a bite of!
After all, who doesn’t need an energy boost these days?
For me, these are perfect just before going to the gym in the morning. I can carry them with me on the go, and ensure I am energised and ready for a full work-out. (Now though, there are no excuses for not going!)
How can you make these?
I’ve taken inspiration from Deliciously Ella, and used her ‘Classic Almond and Cocoa’recipe. I’ve just added Chia seeds and cashews to my mix! Remember, these are versatile, add whatever you like to yours and find your perfect combination.
No to nuts? No worries! If you cannot eat nuts, just replace them with rolled oats and a handful of seeds.
